Jess embraces letting the beauty you love be what you do! She first began teaching yoga in remote villages in Mongolia and was amazed at yoga's universal ability to inspire and heal. She enjoys guiding her students toward a celebration of the heart, an awareness of the intuitive body, and a deep sense of belonging. She embodies the belief that until we give adequately to ourselves, shining light into our own souls, only then can we find the wealth of energy to give with true intention. With that concept in mind, Jess's classes are full of playfulness, optimism, forgiveness, empowerment, and humor; reminding her students that anytime we link the mind, body, and soul and give selflessly with intention, on and off the mat, we are practicing yoga.
"Challenge yourself to find your edges & explore with creativity and grace, the limitlessness of your body! Invite playfulness & exploration and develop your own personal yoga practice. There are as many yoga's as there are birds in the sky; my inspiration comes from all forms. I believe that yoga, like art, is a creative expression that can lead into new realms of being, seeing, and experiencing. I find bliss in spreading my passion and feel gifted to be able to share such an empowering, joyous gift with the world. My hope is that my students will use what they've learned on the mat and take that sense of being out into the world, spreading light & intention into the lives of others."

Jess Trudeau, E-RYT 500 carries 900 hours of advanced certifications from Yogaworks NYC, Laughing Lotus NYC, Blissology Bali and Heartwood Institute CA. A nomad at heart, she has led teacher trainings, retreats, workshops and classes worldwide for 15 years since her first class to a group of women in Mongolia while living in the Peace Corps.
Jess’s classes are soaked in yoga's rich philosophy and paletted history, mindful alignment and thoughtful sequencing, inspired by her own never-ending search for play and creativity. She enjoys teaching a vast diversity of yogic styles from therapeutic Restorative and Chair Yoga, to Partner and Aerial Hammock Yoga; but gets extra lit up highlighting Vinyasa Flow’s fluid diversity with a multi level approach. She finds joy in making yoga accessible to all with creative use of props and adaptations for beginners, injuries, body types, and pregnancy; instilling an inclusive environment for the practice of yoga. Her mantra is, “move like yourself” and encourages students to find their own inner teacher with the foundation of guiding principles. She infuses classes with mantras on harmonium to find voice, hand mudras, breath pranayama, as well as insightful themes and intentions to shake out routine and invite people back home to their bodies. She is interested in balancing the architecture of alignment with the grace and freedom found in flow. Jess seeks to guide students along the path of strength, integrity, and authenticity while cultivating joy and gratitude for this fantastic life.
Jess first began practicing yoga in 1999 as a young college student in art school and fell in love with it’s creative nature. The practice has been her foundation through the carnival of life including motherhood and a tumultuous illness with Guilliane-Barre that left her temporarily paralyzed in 2016. She believes her yoga and meditation practice to be the shining light through any darkness on her path and has helped her recognize the body’s phenomenal potential to overcome. She uses yoga as a gateway to better understand ourselves, accept and even celebrate our humanness, and to seek wonder in the cracks where the light tries to find us. She reminds us that until we shed light into our own lives can we embody the potential to exist alongside and inspire others.
Jess has been blessed to study with many phenomenal yogis during her travels including Dana Trixie Flynn, Sri Dharma Mittra, Carrie Owerko, Jillian Pransky, Suzanne Sterling, Chrissy Carter, Elena Brower, Cyndi Lee, Eoin Finn, and Desiree Rumbaugh; a few of many whom she’s incredibly grateful for passing on their knowledge, inspiration, and innate wisdom.
"This relationship to yoga allows me to arrive back home to my mat, no matter where I am in the world. It assists me in re-rooting in the reality of who I am and the transitions that I'm meandering through at the moment. Whether seated in the traditions of Bali, surfing the remote waves of Dominica, reflecting on the silence of the Mongolian steppe, or gaining the rich spiritual culture of India.. my practice reminds me how to always return back to the nest inside of me, forever unchanging, eternally present."
A nomad at heart, Jess now resides on the coast of northern California.
She leads adventure yoga retreats, teacher trainings, and classes worldwide. When she's not teaching, you can find her out surfing northern California's wild waves, feeding chickens with her 5 year old son Kai, planting succulents, or immersed in her home pottery studio.
Experience in teaching Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Aerial Hammock, Partner, Kids, Chair & Prenatal Yoga classes in a variety of her past home locations including New York City, California, Dominica, Mongolia, Bali, Nicaragua, Pennsylvania and Montana.
